A
first orientation in Akersloot (Netherlands)....
You can contact us at our Head Office in Akersloot by telephone
or visit us in person in order to get acquainted with the members
of our company, go through our catalogues and find answers to all
your questions. Of course, you will have to come to France to view
the houses yourself.
It is advisable to contact Head Office Akersloot first for information
and appointments, our employee in France does mostly fieldwork and
receives his appointment data from Head Office Akersloot. |
Or
directly in France
You can choose to go directly to France. You call Head Office Akersloot,
where your visit to France will be well prepared. We will make your
appointments with our French and Dutch colleagues, who will be informed
of the type of house you seek. They will discuss and re-select with
you the houses that might be most suitable for you and each one
of our colleagues will spend at least half a day of fieldwork with
you. Most of our French colleagues will make the effort to communicate
with you in English, within their capacities, and you can rely on
our employee in France, who speaks English fluently, to translate
any question that our French colleagues might not understand.
If you wish, we can make reservations for you in a Hotel or Chambre
d'Hote in a location convenient for your appointments, or find you
a holiday home for rent. Many of our clients rent out their French
properties, which allow you to experience the atmosphere of a real
French home. The first goal of your visit to France is to see and
learn what you can find within your criteria and budget. We advise
you to take at least 3 days for the visits, that way you will learn
a lot in a short time. You will view several properties, outside
and inside, in order to have enough comparable material to make
your choice. |
Reviewing
one specific property?
If you see a house that you might want to purchase, it may be important
to ask for an option. The price negotiation is generally done by
Head Office Akersloot. The general supplementary costs of obtaining
the ownership of a house are around 7% of the sale price (notarial
charges and transfer taxes). The French agent is paid by the vendor
and, for our negotiation, we receive a part of this fee. A preliminary
contract can be established, translated and signed in France, with
the help of our employee, or an appointment can be made at Head
Office Akersloot, all at your convenience. All French contracts
will be thoroughly explained to you in your native language, and
all possible conditions that might be necessary will be discussed
with you. All practical things (insurance, water, electricity, phone)
will be done by us at your wishes. We can advise you about taxes,
bank loans, wills, renovations etc.
The final contract at the notaries's office will be entirely explained
to you before you sign, and one of our employees will be with you
at this event. |
And
also after having purchased...
You can always contact us after the purchase for any question that
might arise. Any letter from France that you don't understand can
be translated by us if you simply send us a copy to Head Office
Akersloot. If you encounter problems during your stay in France,
you can also call Akersloot, and our employee in France will be
notified as quickly as possible.
